Bob Probert, the one-time scourge of the NHL, who battled so many players on the ice and a host of drug and alcohol issues away from the rink, was pronounced dead on Monday afternoon at a Windsor Hospital after collapsing on a boat on Lake St. Clair....

Can't believe it. Remember back in the day...he was the entire reason this site was created. The best fighter of all time...in many ways.

I felt and still feel like a piece of me is gone. Probert was and still is a legend in my eyes. Being a Detroit fan is rough these past few seasons, but looking at old footage of Probie at the Joe takes me back to a time when he was the best. All heart. Just sad to see him go.
